It’s green week

On my Home Milk travels I’ve had the very great pleasure of meeting and shooting many glorious greens and their homeowners. There’s so much to talk about with green that I can’t fit into one blog post, so this one is a general 5 green rooms that I fell in love with and why I think they are great…. or for short ‘For the love of green’.

Bo’s beautiful bedroom

This for me, is a perfect green for a bedroom. It’s got a soothing quality but also feels fresh and modern. It looks fabulous with the pops of Rose and mustard. It was fantastic meeting Bo, her house is off the scale amazing, her colour choices are food for the soul. And don’t get me started on her leopard print office wallpaper (also on my grid). A joy to behold.

Green and blue for you

Nat and Kat’s home was another heart melter. I felt a strong affinity to the colour palette throughout their home and did a sharp intake of breath when I saw this green sat next to the beautiful blue of their bedroom. What a great combination. Full swoon.

Pattern on pattern

I was totally bowled over my Manu’s confident use of colour in her under-stars bathroom. The contrasting patterns work so well because there’s that connecting thread of green. Botanical and geometric sitting so happily together, beautiful stuff.

The dreamiest green kitchen

I shot Sara’s amazing kitchen in the early days of Home Milk. I remember seeing it and thinking how much I loved my job. What an honour it was to be able to nosey around such incredible homes. Then that slight heart ache that this kitchen wasn’t mine, oh the perils of shooting home interiors. But I did leave with a real skip in my step, knowing that I would be able to share this kitchen with my followers, rather than it sneakily hiding behind closed doors.

The units are painted in (aptly named) 'cupboard green' @littlegreenepaintcompany

Spring greens in the kitchen

Above is the wonderful home of Sophia and Simon. I absolutely love this green and think it works particularly well in a kitchen where it reminds me of spring onions and crunchy green apples. Paired with that golden yellow unit colour it just sings of spring time.

The green wall colour is . Green wall colour 'Matterhorn' @sanderson1860

The Green tiles are 'Apple Green' @johnsontiles
