It’s blue week

I’ve been looking forward to launching BLUE WEEK. Lots of fun happening on the insta grid, followers have been sending in their blue rooms and they look amazing, I’ve been sharing on insta stories, so much inspo. From ultramarine to baby blue I bet there’s a blue that appeals to you. Ooh I’m rhyming too.

Into the deep…blue

Above is the magical bathroom of Maz @thewoodenhill. She’s used Railings from Farrow and Ball. It’s so dark it’s almost black and creates a tres luxurious feel. The lighter wood panelling creates a nice contrast and also provides a handy shelf. Plus those plants are off the scale great! So bountiful, they look lovely with the blue.

The blue/black wall colour is ‘Railings’ @farrowandball

Lovely blue kitchen nook

There is something about a kitchen nook that I just find so appealing. A perfect mix of cleverness and cosiness. Space saving and beautiful. I really loved meeting @homemade_hannah and her exciting kitchen. The blue colour is ideal for a kitchen as it’s soothing but has a bit of liveliness to it (if that makes any sense!) and I love how she painted all the units and the seating the same colour.

Blue paint is ‘Stiffkey Blue’ @farrowandball

Dreaming in ultramarine

Kim’s house is wall to wall excitement. She’s an artist and maker and each room feels so unique. I had to include this pic as Ultra Blue is my favourite colour. I like how she’s used it as an accent in the chairs and as a border with her hand-painted band around the top of the room. The white expanse on the walls helps the colours and her artwork pop. Thanks for letting me share your beautiful blue bedroom @thepryingeyes

Blue and red, nuff said

Carol’s @maxmademedoit home is a real sight to behold. Layers of loveliness in every room. She’s really good with a colour combo and her lounge ‘Hague Blue’ walls with her ‘Crimson Red’ ceiling are a real love match. Can you see she’s taken inspiration from the tassels on her lamp? so clever.

Blue walls are ‘Hague' Blue’ @farrowandball

Corbusier blue

Ella’s home is so so inspiring, each room is perfectly considered. Beautiful furniture and accessories complimented by incredible bold colour backdrops. I remember being in complete awe on my visit. Her colour choices are from the Corbusier collection, and they were all designed to sit perfectly together. Her blue dining room is one to tell the grandkids about.
