It’s pink week

Oh my Pink Week has been going so well over on the Insta grid. The call out for peeps to send me in pics of their pink rooms was a massive hit. I wasn’t sure how it was going to go, I knew I’d seen lots of pink on my home tours but thought perhaps I was in a pink bubble. I was wrong, there are so many inspirational homes out there, so many creative folks. I have saved them all in my pink highlight if you want to take a looksee.

Glossy pink tiles

Above is the very special bathroom of Tara @stokey_abode. I remember opening the door to this dinky bathroom and being totally blown away. Those Bert and May wall tiles are amazing, such a beautiful pink hue and works so well with the brass taps and lights.

She’s even kept the pink theme with her rolled up towels, perfect styling.

Rock star carpentry

I’m a little bit in love with @mothsintherattan bedroom storage. Not only is it excellent carpentry but it is totally elevated to rock star level with the choice of colour. See how well it works with that gorgeous green? The perfect colour combination.

Pink is love

This for me is the representation of pink as the colour of love. Pink has such a nurturing, comforting quality and the ideal colour to use in a room where the family relax and play together. Pink has a soft power, a gentle confidence that makes it just so great to be around.

@claryandpeg has used @duluxuk colour matching service to create this perfect pink.

Stairway to heaven

Well of course I had to include a snap from the incredible home of Emily @pinkhouseliving. Throughout her home there is a joyous thread of pink, it doesn’t overwhelm, it feels really cohesive and calm. I absolutely love this pink and blue combination. It’s such a welcoming hallway, one that I very much enjoyed exploring.

Pink with a pop of yellow

This one bedroom flat has been transformed into a home that feels larger than life by the use of beautiful pops of colour. Here the pink chimney breast is subtle, and gently allows the yellows, reds and greens to shine. Pink and yellow are great friends too, the fireplace tiles are a perfect pairing. Lovely work @diaryshewrote.
