It’s yellow week

I have been seriously enjoying yellow week on the grid. I think we all didn’t realise how much we needed it! Such a burst of sunshine and joy. So many of you have sent in your amazing yellow rooms, all now saved on the Yellow highlight, have a look at all the major inspiration. I find yellow quite interesting, for many it’s a colour that they want in their life but not all over their walls, so a colour pop is a popular choice. But there are some of you who have really gone for it, it’s so exciting to see (and you know me…I’m a ‘go for it’ kind of gal).

Go large with your yellow pop

This is less of a colour pop and more of a colour poppppppppppppp. Natasha @untillemonsrsweet has brought. a huge dose of joy into her kitchen. It’s got such a playful vibe and works so nicely with her blue kitchen units. Check out her super inventive ceiling lights too, she designed them herself inspired by the tube map. So clever.

Big yellow energy

Ella’s home @anewtribe is one I come back to in my mind quite a bit. After visiting I was really blown away but her sense of style. Moroccan touches with a modern twist. She’s got the most amazing colour palette throughout her home, each room has it’s own identity. This amazing yellow sofa is bringing all the positive energy to her gorgeous room.

Total joy

Of course I had to re share the incredible home of Trish @interiorspickle. Her yellow fireplace is one of the best performing pics I’ve ever posted. I think perhaps it feels like an achievable project to paint a fireplace, but it makes such a huge impact. The vibrant colour paired with her bold art are a big love match.

A splash of yellow for creativity

I thought I’d pop a little pic of my home office here for you. My vision was to create a plywood box to work within, with a flash of colour on the wall. Yellow was the obvious choice, it’s a colour that makes me feel super creative and energised. This is Yellowcake from Farrow and Ball and it gives me life.

Juicy colour combination

I meaaaannnn have you ever seen a kitchen like it? Danielle @mothsintherattan designed it herself, and it’s impossible to not give a little gasp of joy when you see it. I love its mid century feel and the contrasting orange. Perhaps if I owned this kitchen I might be inspired to cook something non horrific….hmm maybe not. I will stick to the cocktail making.
